With deadmau5 finishing his 12-month BBC Radio 1 residency, all ears now turn to Danish DJ/Producer Kölsch. The Dane, who delivered his final mix for the year, has been going strong since his residency started back in the summer of 2016, delivering fans their monthly fix of House and techno each and every month. He also announced that the first 2 months of 2018 would be tour-free, as he solely dedicates himself to working in the studio.

Fresh off of his U.S and South American tour, Kölsch kicks things off with Roman Rai‘s ‘Perception of Delusion‘. Denis Horvat follows up with his new track ‘Patchouli‘. Horvat also had the honour of having his first track signed to one of Kölsch’s labels in the early 2000’s. As well as playing tracks from notable artists such as Yotam Avni and Avalon Emerson, the Dane had plenty of his own work on display. While songs such as ‘Left Eye left‘ and ‘Goodbye‘ making appearances, the Pete Tong & Jules Buckley & The Heritage Orchestral Version version of ‘Grey‘ caught the attention of all listeners.

After dropping such an impressive mix, Kölsch’s 2017 campaign has been nothing short of great, with closing out Ushuaïa Ibiza in September and performing atop of the Eiffel Tower in October, just some of the many highlights of what has been an exceptional year.

Listen to Kölsch’s final BBC Radio 1 mix of 2017!
