With 2017 coming to a close, all kinds of statistics, data and analyses are typically released to the public for their reading pleasure. Radio host Mike Adam of New York’s 102.7 Fresh recently Tweeted the best selling male artists in the world on iTunes right now. While Ed Sheeran and Post Malone round out the top 2, American DJ/Producer Marshmello made up up the top three.

With songs such as ‘Wolves‘ with Selena Gomez and ‘Silence‘ featuring Khalid amongst the top 20 highest selling iTunes songs in the world, Marshmello’s latest achievement only makes sense. While ‘Silence’ has spent 4 months on the global chart, peaking at #13, ‘Wolves’ has taken blown its predecessor out of the water. The hit song featuring Selena Gomez has only been on the chart for 49 days, peaking at #1.

With nominations at award ceremonies such as the EMA‘s, Radio Disney Music Awards and the second annual Remix Awards, Marshmello only managed to take home the “Best Use of Vocal” award for his remix of Anne-Marie‘s ‘Alarm‘ at the Remix awards. While the man in white has been nominated for numerous awards this year, his latest achievement is a reflection of the hard work that earned him the 10th spot on DJ Mag‘s Top 100 DJ‘s list.
