YouTube based label NCS (NoCopyrightSounds) has just hit a staggering milestone. Despite offering free downloads for every single release, the label has now achieved over 1 million paid downloads on iTunes, cementing its position as one of the industry’s leading labels.
NCS is a UK based label, which started off as a YouTube channel, but has shot to fame, now with 13 million subscribers. The label’s releases have been particularly popular with the YouTube community, as the Vlogging, Gaming, and Beauty communities have been able to use the tracks in their videos, without risk of copyright infringement.
Here’s what founder Billy Woodford had to say about hitting the milestone:
“I’m immensely proud to have reached 1 million paid downloads, and believe this shows the growth and strength NCS has built over the years. The demand for fresh original music from Creators is enormous and growing daily. I believe the music we support on the label compliments all types of content, from the Make-up and Beauty community through to the Vlogging and Gaming world. The fans of these content creators from each community are discovering NCS Artists, and that is translating into traditional sales.”
The success comes as the label release their latest album ‘NCS Best of 2017‘ which features tracks from electronic artists including RetroVision, Aero Chord and Culture Code. Check out the album on Spotify below.
