Starting off December in style, the Dutch powerhouse NEW_ID, has just infused new light into three already popping house tracks. Among 3 new reworks from NEW_ID, the twenty track compilation album is the latest token to be added to the Flamingo Recordings imprint.
Formed in 2004 amongst producers Funkerman, Fedde Le Grand, and Raf Jensen, Flamingo Recordings has become a highly reputable label that consistently pumps out quality dance music. Leading the charge for this compilation album is NEW_ID, the progressive house producer who has had an incredible run in 2017. The producer/DJ already has critically acclaimed releases on Flamingo Recordings such as the long awaited ID “Falling”, to the funky “Aftermath” with Jesse Kills and Anabel. “Aftermath” received not one but two renditions from NEW_ID including the OG and a rather unique “VIP” mix. On the Axtone Records side of things, NEW_ID released a remix for Shapov’s “More Than Love” and the fabled instant classic “Make Your Mind Up” with label boss Axwell.
Diving in to the 3 new releases, we have the NEW_ID edit of Deniz Koyu’s smasher “Tung” up first. “Tung” from Turkish/German producer Deniz Koyu sinks us back into those 2011 vibes. The summer hit released on Flamingo Recordings made waves around the progressive house scene. The infectious melody and nifty production work made “Tung” a rather popular record worldwide. The track also raised the profile for Deniz Koyu, who now uses the inscription KO:YU. In his 2017 rendition, NEW_ID keeps the original flavour of the track while still adding a unique character to make the track sparkle once again.
Second, we have the NEW_ID edit of fellow Dutchman Melsen’s “Feeling”. Also released on Flamingo Recordings in 2016, this new edit keeps the groovy vocal line intact but swaps the sunny piano hook from the original with a tasty NEW_ID bass line. Don’t worry though, the track still hits just as hard.
The last new work we have is a solid NEW_ID edit of Cooperated Souls “Born to Rage“. 5 months ago WeRaveYou had the honour of premiering the track. The NEW_ID edit is recharged with a little new magic from the dutch producer and keeps most of the original elements still in the same form. With its new outfit, it is sure to keep clubs bumping.
