Legendary festival Ultra Miami is always one of the most highly-awaited events in the electronic music calendar. Having expanded across the world, Ultra have proven that their name carries weight in every single continent, but their core event in Miami remains their most iconic. 2018 will mark the festival’s 20th anniversary, so expectations are exceedingly high, and the eagerly-awaited phase one lineup for the event has finally been revealed.

Returning to the festival are many names who regularly provide sensational performances at the event, Armin van Buuren, Hardwell, David Guetta, DJ Snake, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Afrojack, Nicky Romero and Tiësto have all been regulars at the event over the years. One of the names on the lineup that has provoked a huge response however, is Porter Robinson‘s new alias Virtual Self. With the debut Virtual Self EP having only dropped last month, the reaction from fans has been overwhelming, building high expectations for the upcoming Ultra performance, which will definitely unmissable.

With each passing year, Ultra have delved further into the techno/tech house scene, particularly with their Resistance brand, which is set to return as a stage host in 2018. Of course, the legendary Carl Cox is set to return to host his own stage in the mega structure, and will no doubt provide another headlining set for the books. The lineup also has a few interesting additions to the list of headliners, including Dubfire B2B Nicole Moudaber, and Jackmaster, Eats Everything, Skream, and Seth Troxler will perform one of their ‘J.E.S.u.S‘ sets, seeing them all go back to back, not to mention icons Sasha and John Digweed are also due to go back to back.

The live headliners have also caused a stir this year, with Tchami and Malaa due to perform a ‘No Redemtion‘ B2B set, which follows on from their joint tour which recently came to a close. They will be joined by Azealia Banks, Infected Mushroom, and Empire of the Sun to name just a few. Ultra have also introduced a new stage host for 2018, Hardwell’s label Revealed Recordings, which will no doubt showcase some of the world’s greatest electro house talents. Revealed will join the ranks with other labels set to return to the festival as stage hosts, Armin van Buuren’s iconic label A State of Trance, as well as Afrojack’s Jacked Records.

Unbelievably, this is only phase one of the lineup, with even more names due to be announced. On their poster, Ultra tease ‘special anniversary performances’ and ‘expect the unexpected’. All in all, there can be no doubt that the 20th anniversary of Ultra Miami is going to be their best yet.
