Blasterjaxx’s ‘Mystica’ turns 4 years old

Home Uncategorized Blasterjaxx’s ‘Mystica’ turns 4 years old

Starting out all the way back in 2010, Dutch DJ/Producer duo Blasterjaxx have unequivocally become a mainstage staple across the globe. Comprising of Thom Jongkind and Idir Makhlaf, the two earned their stripes with their Reborn EP back in 2012 and since have churned out festival anthems such as ‘Titan‘, Big Bird’ and ‘Going Crazy‘ with Hardwell. However, arguably their most iconic track, ‘Mystica’ turns 4 years old today.

Despite EDM’s constant evolution and constant emergence of numerous sub-genres, Mystica’s unforgettable break melody and thundering kick, still rings true throughout the hearts of fans across the globe. Topping Beatport’s Progressive House chart in January 2014, the track remained in the chart until falling off in late-May; 4 months later. It even received an invigorating remix from American Trap duo LOUDPVCK.

4 years on and the Dutch duo are still going strong. Their label Maxximize Records were recorded as the 3rd-highest-selling Big Room label on Beatport in 2017, trailing only Spinnin’ Records and Revealed Recordings. In addition to this, their tracks ‘Narco‘, with Timmy Trumpet and ‘Follow‘ peaked at #4 and #11 in Beatport’s Big Room and Dance charts respectively.
