Having built a reputation as one of electronic music’s most influential duos, The Chainsmokers have released a number of viral hits, including ‘Don’t Let Me Down‘, ‘Closer‘, ‘Paris‘, and ‘Something Just Like This‘ with Coldplay. Having attained exceptional results with so many releases in such a short period of time, the duo are undoubtedly a force to be reckoned with. The release of their debut album, ‘Memories… Do Not Open‘ last year lead to even further success, cementing their position as one of the most powerful duos to ever grace the electronic music scene.
While the duo are one of the more controversial in the scene, their dominance within the music industry as a whole is undeniable, and following on from their 2017 success, The Chainsmokers have just released their first track of 2018, ‘Sick Boy‘. Reflecting the sound of their 2017 album, the track is primarily lead by vocals, supported by underlying atmospheric synths. With a more down-tempo feel than their usual hits, ‘Sick Boy’ is emotive yet addictive, and will no doubt be a favourite with the duo’s loyal fanbase.
