Since launching the Datsik brand, Troy Beetles continues to evolve as a solo artist all the while pushing his beloved bass music world to new lengths. From bedroom producer to chart-topping artist, along with the establishment of the enterprising Firepower Records, Datsik has now cemented his place at the forefront of the bass music subgenre. His debut 2009 release, “Nuke ‘Em”, started a Dubstep movement in North America so powerful that it continues to influence how bass music is produced today. And with a steady string of releases in 2017 resulting in another successful year for the Los Angeles based producer, he is back with with a brand new EP that is jam packed with hard hitting anthems.
“Master of Shadows” EP consists of 7 brand new productions that sees him collaborate with the likes of Excision, Virtual Riot, Ganja White Night, JPhelpz, Dion Timmer among others. The EP just has been released on Datsik’s own independent label and marks the beginning of his gigantic 55+ date Ninja Nation Tour. Each of the 7 seven tracks are uniquely different, yet all are filled Datsik’s signature dubstep and bass elements. Along with the impressive collaborations, the EP also features solo work in the shape of “Pressure Plates” and “You’ve Changed”, both of which are fuelled with energy from start to finish in typical Datsik fashion. Overall, the EP is guaranteed to get everyone head banging and moving on the dance floor, and adds to the American’s already monumental catalogue of hits.
