Undoubtedly two of the biggest names in the electronic music industry, Martin Garrix and Carl Cox both have a huge following around the globe. Their music is on different ends of the spectrum, and both artists gained respect over completely different timescales, but what they do have in common is an undeniable talent in both production and performing live. Last year, the two giants were immortalized in film, as the documentary ‘What We Started‘ gave a new perspective on both their careers.
The documentary was premiered last June in Los Angeles, with many huge stars in attendance, including Moby, Paul Oakenfold, and Erick Morillo. Following a long wait, Martin Garrix fanpage ‘The Martin Garrix Hub’ on Instagram has revealed that the documentary is now due to be in cinemas on March 23.
‘What We Started’ takes a look at the evolution of dance music over time, while examining the careers of long-time icon Carl Cox and present day superstar Martin Garrix. Featuring a number of prominent figures from the industry including Steve Angello, David Guetta, Tiësto and Afrojack, the documentary will certainly be an interesting watch.
