Fresh off the decks of the Spinnin’ Sessions weekly radio show, Dutch gem Sophie Francis delivers a mesmerizing mix full of some of the best tracks house music has to offer. Every week, Spinning Records pulls in an artist who has been on a hot streak or garnering lots of attention and support and allows them to craft a mix for their weekly radio/podcast show. This week, listeners are treated to an hour long journey of some of Sophie Francis’s favourite tracks and some of the hottest records being played today.

The mix begins with fellow Dutch duo Vicetone’s fresh new single “Fix You”, the chilled-out guitar riffs and smooth melodies set the mood for the rest of the mix. With labels all across the board being represented on the mix, there are 8 tracks that come from Spinning Records, all with their own unique flavour. As we dive deeper into the mix, we get to hear the latino-groove banger “Latido” from Daddy’s Groove and Ferdy. Oliver Helden’s imprint Heldeep makes an appearance with MOGUAI & Zonderling’s tasty collaboration “Lee” which is set for release later this month. With more than 15 artists jumping in for the first segment of the mix, the momentum continues on just as Sophie Francis’s own “Hearts Of Gold” upcoming on Spinning Records fills the spectrum. Speaking on the track and her current tour schedule, Sophie was asked about her recent tour and where she’s been playing recently.

-What have you been up to lately?

I just came from some shows in South Africa, it was super fun! The past months I’ve been touring in Asia a lot. I made 3 tours with a total of 6 whole weeks there.I played at Festivals like Storm in China, or It’s The Ship, a cruise ship festival of 3 days going from Singapore to Phuket and back. The clubs there are amazing. The production is very cool and design of the clubs are made at top level! Colosseum, M1nt, Club S86, Dr. Mayflower, Onyx, SkyGarden, Face… love them!Beside that I have 2 releases coming out this month, which is really exciting! On the 26th of January my single ‘Hearts Of Gold’ is coming out on Spinnin’ Records and on the 19th of January my remix of Sam Bruno – So What will be released on Atlantic Records. And in early March I’ll release a vocal version of my single ‘Get Over It’ featuring the amazing Laurell 🙂In the last months of 2017 I started recording my weekly radioshow: Sophie Francis Beyond Radio. Its broadcasted weekly at several radios like FG Radio Belgium and France for example. And when each episode is already broadcasted on the exclusive radio partners, 4 weeks later you can listen to it on YouTube. The first episodes are now available on my YouTube channel 🙂 and weekly a new one is available. Check them out!

-What did you have in mind for this Guest Mix?

I made a selection of tracks that I really love. I chose tracks that independently of the BPM or genre, they sound energetic and make you feel happy, because that’s what I want other people to feel when they listen to the mix. There are some highlights in the mix, first, my upcoming single ‘Hearts Of Gold’ which I’m really excited about and proud of! It all started in November of 2016! 🙂 During a session in Amsterdam with the singer-songwriter Nicole Bus and 3 other writers. The main idea of the song was written there, and afterwards we re-wrote it along some sessions in 2017, while I produced it with the help of my friend James Ericsson. We made like 51 different versions of this track haha the longest process ever, and its finally out!! So for me it is a big highlight in this mix.I also included the remix I did for Sam Bruno. I made a trap-vibe remix, inspired about releasing for first time on a US label. And since its my first official remix also, I’m super excited for this one to come out too!

This weeks mix is full of some of the most enthralling music, released and unreleased. Records from Mike Williams, Selena Gomez and Marshmello, and Martin Garrix & David Guetta shine bright on this week’s radio show. Towards the end, the much-anticipated remix for Sam Bruno from Sophie plays, she was inspired by trap elements and the achievement of her upcoming first release on an American Label, Atlantic Records.

Check out the mix below!
