Dutch record producer Afrojack is back to cure those January blues with a brand new remix of ‘Get Out Of Your Own Way‘ from legends U2 and it is just what we need to hear. A career spanning more than three decades, the rock band are still one of the most prominent bands on the rock scene to date. Of course, during this time the Bono and the gang has seen a host of the work remixed as well as collaborating with huge artists including Kygo with their vocally chopped masterpiece, ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me‘ and ‘Pride (In The Name Of Love)‘ a collaboration with Tiësto supporting the RED foundation.
Now, Afrojack is the latest DJ to tackle a U2 track and the results are simply outstanding. Retaining the harmonious vocals from frontman Bono, the remix leads with subtle strings and soothing guitar strums. Que the Dutchman’s expertise as his remix gets jacked into a melodic anthem with heavenly synths and a captivating melody. However, the ‘Take Over Control’ star is not finished there as the remix returns with a synth extravaganza before dropping into its melodic chorus one final time.
A remix destined for mainstage success this summer will no doubt be turning festival crowds into a frenzy of anthematic joy and providing those memorable drops for years to come. Afrojack has once again shown us why he is the master when it comes to remix’s and collaborating with other artists work. Listen to the awesome track below and let us know in the comments what you think.
