Swedish megastar Avicii looks to be striving forward toward even further success during 2018. His next project has just been revealed, but it may come as a shock to fans that this one is not music related. This time, he is investing in MODE Cold Brew, a cold brew coffee brand from his home country Sweden.

With more caffeine than regular coffee and energy drinks, MODE is less bitter and acidic than normal coffee. The result is a more enjoyable drink which is better for your stomach, teeth and breath. The investment definitely looks like the start of a new direction for Avicii, who retired from touring in 2016, and could see the Swedish maestro become involved with further startups.

Here’s what Avicii had to say about his new investment:

“In the studio I have always relied on energy drinks until I discovered cold brew coffee. When Mode Cold Brew was launching in Sweden it just felt natural to be a part of that. When I had the first taste of Mode I knew that it was the right choice!”
