Deadmau5 took to Spotify to share an exclusive playlist which included every single track that was played during his stellar BBC Radio 1 residency. With 206 tracks from all 12 months of his residency, the playlist clocks in at a whopping twenty two hours. It includes not only the superstar DJ and producer’s own material, but a majority of its tracks are comprised of his Mau5trap artists and others, including influential artists such as Moby and Feed Me.
The radio residency earned Canadian producer Joel Zimmerman rave reviews, and he himself was delighted to take part in the endeavor. In a busy 2017 for the DJ, including a tour, the BBC residency wrapped up the year on a high note. Recently, he performed on the annual Holy Ship cruise under his testpilot techno alias, which allowed him to explore sounds outside of his typical progressive house genre. He is currently at work on a new album, after expressing disappointment with his previous one, and is hard at work leading his music production class on MasterClass.
