Jack Taylor – Need You (feat. Alina Renae)
Norwegian up and comer Jack Taylor is back with his glorious new single ‘Need You’ – a feel good progressive anthem with a distinct summer vibe. First gaining recognition for his popular remix to David Guetta’s ‘2U’, his other originals including ‘Say Goodbye’ and ‘You’ have caught the attention of industry heavyweights like Martin Garrix. Having been signed as a teenager to Universal Music Norway as a pop act, Jack’s true passion was progressive house music and he continues to improve with each subsequent release.
Taylor believes that his ability to write melodic tracks is what made him venture into producing and is typically influenced by the likes of Avicii, Alesso and Otto Knows – and this certainly shines through in this production with the track’s catchy and infectious melodies throughout. Alina Renae’s stunning vocals are at the heart of the breakdown, as they are underpinned by some uplifting chord progressions, before we arrive at the emphatic drop where the thick electric bass line drives the energy. Overall, this is progressive house at its best, and with more music to come in 2018, including a release on Julian Jordan’s GoldKid imprint, the future is certainly bright for Jack Taylor.
