The acid-house sound is going strong in 2012’s “Generation 303” from the Dutch mastermind Nicky Romero. It recently turned 6 years old, being released in February of 2012.  “Generation 303 was released on fellow Dutch DJ Tiesto’s own imprint Musical Freedom. Comparing the producers sound from then till now, we can see how much has changed. However, at the time of the singles release, Romero was a hallmark producer who was turning heads all over the globe with his new brand of ultra fun, high quality house music. 2012 was arguably the breakout year for many producers, including Nicky Romero. The producer had one of his most prolific years ever, commanded by his behemoth “Toulouse“.

Generation 303 is a throwback to the acid house sound that was making a comeback, heralded by the infectious acid synth sound. In this track we get a taste of Nicky Romero’s essence, his sound design, structure, and impeccable production quality are exemplified in Generation 303.

Nicky Romero has put out plenty of rocking house music since 2012, however this record will always remain as a staple of his and will be remembered for its high energy, sexy bass line, and irresistible groove.
