4 years ago today, German Deep House DJ/Producer Robin Schulz blessed the world with his remix of Mr Probz‘s hit single ‘Waves‘. Despite the original track’s great success, Schulz managed to top it in almost every way imaginable with countless awards, topped charts and support from fellow DJ’s.

The remix proved to be Schulz’s ticket to stardom after it reached Platinum status in 6 different countries and Gold status in another 4. It also received a Grammy nomination for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical at the 57th Grammy Awards. In addition to this, his debut studio album ‘Prayer‘ featured numerous hit songs of the summer of 2014/15 and attained Platinum status in Canada and Germany, as well as Gold and Silver statuses in Switzerland and the U.K. respectively. An alternate version of the song was also released in November 2014, featuring additional vocals from rapper T.I. and singer Chris Brown. The alternate version also featured on Ultra Music‘s compilation album ‘Ultra Dance 16‘.

With hit tracks such as his ‘Prayer In C‘ remix, ‘Sun Goes Down‘ with Jasmine Thompson and ‘Sugar‘ with Francesco Yates, Robin Schulz marked his spot as one of the industry’s premier Deep House artists. The three tracks amassed a combined 19 Platinum certifications and topped charts in Germany, Australia, Denmark, France, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and the U.K. fast forward to 2018, and the German has released successful track such as an official remix of ‘Cola‘ and ‘I Believe I’m Fine‘ with Frenchman, Hugel.
