Sensation announces new concept titled ‘Rise’

Home Uncategorized Sensation announces new concept titled ‘Rise’

The world of dance music was in shock last year, when Sensation organizers ID&T announced that the summer of 2017 would see the final edition of Sensation in Amsterdam entitled: Sensation – The Final. The very first Sensation was held back in 2000 in the Amsterdam ArenA and a year later the dresscode white was introduced. From that moment on, the Sensation concept grew rapidly and extended to 35 countries on five continents, but after 18 years Sensation’s founding father and ID&T founder Duncan Stutterheim announced it was time for something new.

Exactly one year after the news came out that Sensation would call it quits in the Netherlands, it seems that the event series hasn’t been completely ruled out just yet. In a post that Sensation shared on their Facebook-page yesterday they unveiled the name of a new event series called “Rise”. The announcement included the words ‘New Beginnings…’indicating that indeed Sensation will return with a renewed concept. Fans responded to the Facebook post immediately, expressing their hopes for a return to trance or maybe a new adventure into techno.

Even though not too much is known about ‘Rise ‘at this point, it is likely that any new ID&T event will again be a topnotch production, marked by five-star line-ups, fascinating light shows and high-end visuals. DJ’s that headlined last year’s final edition of Sensation were TiëstoHardwell, Fedde Le Grand, Axwell /\ Ingrosso and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, so topping that with the new ‘Rise’ will surely be a tough act to follow. We’re anxious to see what the new concept will bring, so stay tuned for more news on it in the near future.
