Home Uncategorized Steve Aoki announces Backstreet Boys collaboration

Dim Mak founder Steve Aoki is no stranger to collaborations. Having worked with a vast number of EDM artists including AfrojackTiëstoR3habDimitri Vegas & LIke Mike and more, the 40-year-old also boasts an impressive list of non-EDM collaborators. With artists such as Linkin ParkMigosLil Uzi Vert and many more working with Aoki in the past, American boy-band, the Backstreet Boys are set to join the list.

The announcement came after Aoki explained to U.K newspaper ‘The Sun’, how he and Nick (Carter) came together and started working.

“We are working on music together. If it’s going to be on their album or my album, I’m not even sure. We live in the same neighborhood, so he came into my studio. They just care about making good music”

The Backstreet Boys were hoping to release new music at the end of last year, followed by a world tour, however, various commitments pushed back the album’s release. With the group’s last album ‘In A World Like This‘ having been released in 2013, their upcoming album will be their first in 5 years.

With nine Grammy Award nominations between the two acts, expectations are sky-high. Keep up to speed the latest updates on the collaboration here.
