Spring is finally in the air and fans of American DJ/Producer Lane 8 already know what this means: it’s time for another brand new seasonal mix by the hands of the 28-year old Denver-based producer. Daniel Goldstein a.k.a Lane 8 started delivering his series of seasonal mixes a few years ago and ever since, his new mixes have become eagerly anticipated by his dedicated fanbase. The Spring 2018 mixtape follows the release of Goldstein’s latest album ‘Little By Little’, which dropped last January on his own  This Never Happened imrpint.

In support of his second album, Lane 8 started a massive 35-date world tour as well, which takes him to stops in Chicago, Brooklyn, Los Angeles and his hometown of Denver, as well as international dates in Europe and Australia. Despite his busy touring schedule he still managed to find time for a new 3-hour long, Spring mixtape loaded with the best deep house tracks of the moment.

Fans who have visited one of Lane 8’s previous This Never Happened events know that Goldstein requests visitors to not use their smartphones during his shows, but to ‘sit back and enjoy the moment’ rather than taking videos and pictures. To facilitate that somewhat, he simply puts out brilliant deep house sets out there on stage, as well as on his SoundCloud account. The new Spring mixtape starts off with one of Lane 8’s own latest releases, the dreamy track “No Captain” ft. Poliça and also features tracks by several Anjunadeep artists, such as Yotto and Way Out West. Things even get a little techy towards the end, as Goldstein nicely blends in a track by one of the techno scene’s rising stars Charlotte de Witte (‘Brussels’).

The entire mix altogether offers a great sneak preview of what fans can expect when attending one of Lane 8’s current concerts. Also, with Spring just around the corner, the mix is absolutely perfect for leaving your winter blues behind.
