Having already released 4 singles this year, American DJ/Producer Marshmello is off to a flying start. Now he’s delivering his 4th single; ‘Fly‘ with Los Angeles-based artist Leah Culver. After the 3rd highest-selling male artist on iTunes in 2017 earned his stripes with his distinguishable EDM sound, the American has also dipped his feet into the world of Hip-Hop and Rap, following a collaboration with TM88 and Lil Uzi Vert.
A light-hearted track, the song opens with a soft Tropical House-inspired pluck, which is slowly joined by a kick drum subtle vocal chops, before claps, synths and risers all make their ascension towards the trademark Marshmello drop fans have grown accustomed to. The music video is just as joyful as the song. The video shows Marshmello flying across the glorious New York City with the help of hundreds of balloons in a jovial manner.
Other singles this year include his collaboration with Lil Peep, Spotlight‘, ‘There x2‘ with Slushii, ‘FRIENDS‘ with Anne Marie and most recently, ‘Everyday‘ featuring Logic. Thanks to the success of the aforementioned singles, Marshmello was ranked as Beatport’s 6th-highest-selling Trap/Future Bass artist, with ‘FRIENDS’ being the most successful of the 4, peaking at #48 on Beatport’s ‘Dance’ chart.
