With the world still in shock after the reunion of iconic trio Swedish House Mafia at Ultra Music Festival at the weekend, speculation is rife around their future plans. After their heartbreaking split in 2013, fans had been consistently hoping for a reunion year after year, and this weekend their dreams finally came true. Now that the trio have reunited, anything seems possible, and people are beginning to speculate about which events the Swedish trio could be set to perform at this year. Perhaps the most exciting hint was from Tomorrowland, who stirred up a storm when they posted “expect the unexpected” to their Facebook page.

Though in other circumstances the phrase may seem ordinary, it was this phrase that Ultra consistently used in the marketing of their special guest slot, which was eventually revealed as Swedish House Mafia when they took to the stage on Sunday. Now, fans are speculating that the use of this same phrase could signal a potential performance at Tomorrowland in July, and would be the trio’s first performance there since they last took to the stage there six years ago in 2012. If the rumours are true, this could be a monumental piece of news for the electronic music community, but only time will tell whether the trio will perform at the iconic festival this year.
