Hot on heels of her recent collaboration with Afrojack – “Lost”, Australian artist VASSY has just released her brand new single “Somebody New”. Teaming up with a Grammy nominated Canadian duo Sultan + Shepard, they deliver a deep house anthem that is sure to be doing the rounds at the various Miami pool parties this week. And having already collaborated with the likes of Tiësto, Cedric Gervais, Benny Benassi, Showtek, and NERVO to name a few, VASSY provides yet another stand out vocal performance that exemplifies why she is one of the best in the business.

‘Somebody New’ is both playful and intense in terms of its atmosphere, as the calming piano chords working in unison with the vocal delivery to set the vibe throughout – before we transition to what is an emphatic drop. A hard hitting bass pluck in combination with a steady piano composition gives an enchanting perspective to the track. With high-profile exposure from Armada as well as several other successful releases in their repertoire, Sultan + Shepard’s production skills shine through in this release. The track is another hit to add to VASSY’s already impressive catalogue of releases which features tracks that have risen straight to the top of Billboard charts and earned both gold and platinum certifications in the past.
