Home Uncategorized Steve Angello fires back at Swedish House Mafia cancellation rumours

Swedish House Mafia have been the name on everybody’s lips for quite a while now – especially with the comeback in full swing – so news travels fast when anything fresh is discovered about the trio, and the latest claims by DJ Mag Germany instantly spread like wildfire. In the magazine’s report, the Swedes are currently on the verge of being forced to cancel any festival sets this year that don’t benefit Live Nation directly or indirectly which could spell trouble for the majority of their summer sets. The allegations seemingly came out of nowhere – but coincidentally followed Ultra Korea’s announcement of the cancellation of the Swedish House Mafia set – which left fans with a lot of questions about the legitimacy of the reports.

Currently Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso have stayed mute on the subject, but Steve Angello took it upon himself to personally address the confusing situation. Taking to his Instagram account (which has a large following of 1.3 million), Steve posted on his story:

“Lots of fake news out there. Starting to feel as powerful as a president”.

Fans were happy that this hinted towards the cancellation rumours being false but with no specification of exactly which rumour he was addressing, it has left people still on their guard an still wondering if what DJ Mag Germany said could be true.

There are currently no more cancellations and as of right now all future Swedish House Mafia sets are scheduled to go ahead. Stay tuned for more news as it happens.
