Just under a year ago ID&T announced Tomorrowland would be adding is 3rd Chapter to The Book of Wisdom. With the birth of a new sibling to the festivals family came a new setting on another continent – Brasil.

True to the festivals nature, it wasn’t a quiet visit. The festival intention to stay in its new home was reflected in the extensive line up brought along for the inaugural event. Big hitters Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Hardwell, Steve Angello and Steve Aoki were accompanied with a more diverse range of artists such as Andrew Rayel, Jamie Jones, Kölsch and Sasha. And with resident headliners Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike at the helm, it was never going to be a small occasion in Sao Paulo.

The Aftermovie’s release was one of much anticipation, not only for the festival-goers but also the international audience of Tomorrowland. While the standard formula was employed, the video still never ceases to refuel an inner ambition to be at the next edition of the festival.

The clips classy polished editing and production is combined with the soundtracks that accompany the memories of the 3-day festival, portraying the majestic unity and the Latin flare sourcing from the new setting. Starting off with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s new collaboration with Ne-Yo, “Higher Place“, the song transitions to the Bassjackers remix, inserting a high-powered drop, capturing the electric ‘rave’ atmosphere of the event.

Establishing shots combine with the sun-kissed landscapes of Tomorrowland, fueling you with envy and desire. Accompanied by Kryder & Genairo Nvilla’s tribally infused remix of Treasured Soul by Michael Calfan before Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s collaboration with Ummet Ozcan – “The Hum” – re-ignites the party flavour.

The culturally-transcending festivals new location see’s 3 days elegantly crammed into just over 11 minutes of reflective footage, with Yves V & Sem Thomasson’s new single “On Top Of The World” followed by Galantis’ big hit, “Runaway (U & I)” to round out the Aftermovie.

After watching all 11 minutes, you are left feeling more fulfilled, yet somehow emptier because as you aren’t there. With the only concrete thought being Tomorrowland’s mystical, united spirit is something you want to be a part of. Whether it’s for the first time or the 10th.
