Lane 8 releases his debut album “Rise”

Home Uncategorized Lane 8 releases his debut album “Rise”

One of Anjunadeep imprint’s trophy artist, Daniel Goldstein, or Lane 8 as we all know him, has become the face of the house artists stemming from the label. He makes the sort of music which he calls “dreamy back rub house” and just one play of any of his tracks will tell you exactly why he calls it that.

After having a established himself in the scene with multiple releases on the Anjunabeat sub-label over the due course of 2014 and 2015, there were high anticipation regarding an album from the Lane 8. Honestly, he had given us a mixture of festival hits, chart toppers and ‘tracks to spend a Sunday morning to’, which made the debut album’s arrival imminent. And in April of this year itself, the artist announced his debut album on none other than the Anjunabeats sub-imprint.

‘Rise’, as the album is titled, is admittedly “an emotional 10-track journey across beautiful melodic instrumentals, leftfield pop moments and quirky electronica” which features myriad of vocalists such as Solomon Grey, Ghostly International’s Matthew Dear and Patrick Baker, who is on ‘Ghost’ which is the lead single of the LP.

Overall the album challenge the current sound in the scene. When one listens to tracks, the effort and the time that has been put into this work can be sensed. There is a genuine signature sound from the artist coupled with a story to each of the songs. There is no doubt that he will always be the torchbearer of the kind of pop influenced house music he makes but his debut album will speak volumes of what he is capable of in the coming times. And just by giving a listen to some of the tracks from the album (below), one can certainly say that Lane 8 is one of a kind!

The album is available on iTunes.
