Okay, I’m sure 99% of you reading this already know Insomnia and have heard it on multiple occasions; whether it be a car ride, or a festival. The iconic melody is something you simply cannot forget, it’s been two decades since its release and you can hear the track destroying festival stereos to this day.

Faithless is a U.K electronica band from ’90s but still perform shows today. Their all time biggest track: Insomnia, has now been rebooted by Swede sensation, Avicii. Premiered on Pete Tong’s BBC residency, the remix saw an incredible response, Avicii strayed off his usual ‘happy’ themed style, and visited darker and deeper electro-house waters. The track obviously utilises Insomnia’s infectious main riff; Avicii complements this with a fuller bass-line and a deeper drop than we’re used to.

The remix is dubbed ‘Insomnia 2.0’ and is released in celebration of the original’s 20th anniversary. Tiesto, Eric Prydz, Above & Beyond, Armin van Buuren and Booka Shade will also be releasing their own versions of the track as part of the celebratory package
