Basto – Hold You (Official Video)

Belgium native Basto returns to his old school self and presents us with his new single “Hold You”. Though his name might sound unfamiliar to you but his work with “Again and Again” (Tomorrowland 2011 anthem) will definitely ring a bell.

For those who believe Dance Music peaked in 2010/2011, you are in for a treat. “Hold You” will sure bring you back to the days when Avicii was still “Tim Bergling” and big room drops is still a innovating sound.

The track breaks in with a crisp melody and a light bass line, reminding us of a mixture between “Somebody I used to know” by Gotye and “Levels” by Avicii. Some may call this track a mediocre release, however, I think “Hold You” is a good reminder of why we fell in love with Dance Music in the first place and how much have the genre evolved through these years.
