Michael Calfan has truly hit the nail on the head with his new brand of music, finding great success with tracks like ‘Treasured Soul‘ and, more recently, ‘Mercy‘. He has well and truly stepped out of the shadow of previous successes in the progressive house genre and stepped into the shoes of a house music pioneer.
This time, he works his remix magic on Major Lazer’s second single from ‘Peace Is The Mission‘, ‘Powerful‘, one of the most popular tracks from the group’s third studio album (has charted at #7 in Australia and #21 on the US Dance Charts). It seamlessly connects vocals from Ellie Goulding and Tarrus Riley with a piano-driven house tune and old-school strings, building on the emotional energy of the original while adding an undeniable injection of groove.
