Oasis’ front man takes a stab at Avicii and David Guetta
It is rare to see legendary old-time bands comment on the music of the younger generation, and it is even rarer when they suggest that they literally do not care for it.
Noel Gallagher, front man and guitarist for Oasis, headlined alongside Avicii at “T in the Park” this past weekend. During his interview with NME, he was asked to voice his opinion on Avicii. He responded with:
“I don’t know anything about Avicii, I don’t wish to know anything about Avicii. It sounds like a fucking artist from the Renaissance period. Is it like that David Guetta nonsense?”
You might think someone who has such influence in the music industry like Noel Gallagher would have some sort of propriety even when discussing subjects that they don’t particular enjoy. But no, Gallagher is not afraid to speak his mind; he tore the subject apart like a true old-timer.
Everyone has different taste in music and that is indisputable, but what do you think about Noel’s less-than subtle response?
