Tiësto & The Chainsmokers collaborate on “Split (Only U)”

After a flurry of  ‘Tiesto edits’ from the Musical Freedom head and a chain of mellow-popish sounding electronic tracks from the American DJ/Producer duo of The Chainsmokers, we finally have them combining forces for their upcoming track ‘Split (Only U)’ to available on Musical Freedom itself.

Talks of the collaboration between the commercial heavyweights had been doing rounds for quite some time and when the same was confirmed by the upload on the Musical Freedom‘s Soundcloud account, the anticipation for the 31st August release increased.

The hard hitting track was premiered by both the collaborators on various main stage festivals in the past year. The melody that the song carries is very similar to that of American singer/songwriter Ashanti’s 2004 track ‘Only U’ from her album ‘Concrete Rose’, which should explain the ‘(Only U)’ in the title. Regardless, the track is as mainstage-esque as they come and a sure festival headliner. Out on August 31st on Musical Freedom Recods, here is a preview of ‘Split (Only U)’.
