Laidback Luke set to drop first album in over 10 years
Laidback Luke hiatus from album making is over. On November 6th the pioneering DJ will be releasing his new full-length titled ‘Focus’ on his very own label, Mixmash Records.
Being his first album since the iconic ‘Electronic Satisfaction’ back in 2002, ‘Focus’ is set to feature 16 tracks and include input from the likes of Benny Benassi, D.O.D, GTA, Trevor Guthrie and Yellow Claw reflecting his disveristya and fostering approach to talent within the industry.
Set to be “a combination of various styles” ignoring the underground or commercial directions, Laidback Luke seems pretty eager to develop a whole spectrum of sounds for one record.
“What I love about the album is that I can say it’s real…It’s not me selling out and it’s not me staying in old habits. It’s me enjoying my producer time and making tracks that I would both love to listen to and dance to.”
The first single,, “Let It Go” is set to land on October 18th.
