Rising Talents Around The Globe: Episode 1 – Mexico

Home Uncategorized Rising Talents Around The Globe: Episode 1 – Mexico

Welcome to our brand new exclusive editorial series ‘Rising Talents Around The Globe‘. Here at We Rave You, we like to think about ourselves as music lovers and not just promoters of commercial music, and that’s exactly why we are starting this editorial, series seeking the very best Emerging talents around the globe. To kick off, we decided to choose Mexico, one of the countries with the most solid dance music fanbase out there. Mexico has given the spotlight to the dance scene for many years now, and consequently talents are trying to make it out in this beautiful country and onto the global scene. (This list will include talents from Mexico, and not just those who are based in the country).

So without further delay, lets begin with our top upcoming producers from Mexico (in no specific order).

1- ANG

ANG began producing in 2013, meaning that they are quite new to the scene. But don’t fool yourselves, Arturo Kahan (16) and Gabriel Haber (17) are certainly part of the future of the scene in Mexico and worldwide. They are already supporting big events, such as the Electric Oasis Festival, which takes place in the state of San Luis Potosi, Mexico. A long list of artists supporting them with names such as FTAMPA, ZAXX, Andrew Rayel or Riggi & Piros confirms the attention that these guys should be getting. They affirm that they specialize in producing progressive trance and electro house. One of their tracks in collaboration with Zack Martino even became the anthem of the festival previously mentioned. This is their track “Journey”.

Good, isn’t it? Their biggest dreams are being known in cities such as Amsterdam, Los Angeles, and Miami. They want to be played on the radio and above all, sign a contract with Armada Music. Can they make it? Sure thing!

Check out one of their remixes for Enhanced Recordings.

2-Broz Rodríguez

Broz Rodríguez, which currently is standing strong as one of Mexico’s leading producers, started producing back in 2011 and is quite versatile in his style, since he has been able to do Electro House, Latin Bounce, Opera House (yes, it exists and he’s awesome at it), Progressive House, and Latin House. Mario Alberto Rodriguez Andonie, born in Guadalajara and Monterrey based after 4 years of his career is already getting the spotlight at many events such as Life in Color Mexico, Electric Zoo Mexico, Sensation Mexico, or Mystic Land in Colombia. He has also has been touring in the Netherlands, Belgium, the US, Sri Lanka and Malaysia, just to name a few. Rodríguez has also been the opening act for stars like Gorillaz, Avicii, Steve Aoki, Deorro, Nicky Romero, and many more.

Now, let’s talk about music. Broz Rodríguez has released many tracks, and has even been named Mexico’s Biggest Breakthrough Artist at the DJ World Awards. His latest track is a free download on Chuckie’s iconic Dirty Dutch label, check it out by yourself:

Now, just feel those insane basslines.

Didn’t believe me about his crazy versatility? then check out this amazing melodic tune.

Yes, I’m also sure that this guy will be headlining festivals in a few years.

3- Loudan

Originally from Dortmund, Germany and currently based in Cuernavaca, México, Loudan(18) started producing back when he was 13 years old. Daniel Illetschek, better known as Loudan is more progressive house oriented, but that does not limit him when it comes to productions, since he has already released multiple tracks focused on different genres. His list of superstar DJs supporting him is also worth to mention, with names such as Tiësto, Afrojack, Thomas Newson or Sandro Silva and more, have supported his work on radioshows and more. The performances he has piled up so far include his mainstage act at Electric Adventure (Atlantic City, NJ) and Pacha NYC,  supporting acts for VINAI, Dyro or even Wolgang Gartner. His biggest dream is to travel the world through the music.

His most recent works include his remix of Tove Lo’s international hit “Talking Body”, which has topped 777k plays so far on his SoundCloud. He has also reworked Afrojack’s classic anthem, “Take Over Control” with a magnificent remix. Both are lovely and quality tunes that demonstrate Loudan’s enormous talent.

But if you’re more into big drops, he also produced a track in collaboration with Regoton, which was released on Cr2 Records, titled “Zen”.

The future seems bright for this youngster, but the path is still long. We wish you the best of luck.

4- Nitro Fun

Gustavo Rangel (17), one of the younger on list, but not likely to be the less talented. Nitro Fun, originally from San Luis Potosí, started producing back when he was 14 years old. He mainly produces complextro, progressive house, electro house and other genres at 128 bpm. But Rangel does not want to stop there, he wants to show the world how his talent can go further. That’s why he’s now producing indie dance, future bass but also moombahton. A fun fact about him, is, in case you haven’t noticed on his picture, Gustavo is a big fan of video games, and he uses that passion with music. He characterizes his sound using chiptunes and soundfonts from old school games and the result is beyond words.

Most of his tracks are signed to the legendary Monstercat, and his support list stands strong beyond the mexican scene. Don Diablo, Ummet Ozcan, Blasterjaxx, W&W, Dyro, Henry Fong, DJ Bl3nd, Paul Oakenfold, Disco Fries, Gareth Emery, and the list could go on, since when you listen to his productions, you’re going to easily understand why so many big names support him.

Nerdgasm alert, let’s talk about his music. His latest release is Final Boss, which was dropped on Monstercat.

Oh that? We were just heating up the motors, so put your seatbelt on. Next up are his tunes “Soldiers” and “New Game”

Here, have some more of these amazing melodies…

We will leave you with the temptation of checking his other tracks. Believe us, the versatility of Nitro Fun is impressive and we highly recommend you check out his versatile work.

5- MCD & Castaneda

One of the fastest rising talents on the list, Miguel Castro Diaz and Juan Pablo Sanchez Castañeda better known under the name of MCD & Castaneda. They started producing big room house, but they constantly expand their horizons releasing new progressive, tropical or whatever comes to their mind, they do it. And they do not just do it in a mediocre way, since every single one of their tracks being released is huge. Their list of supporting artists is not short and includes names like Blasterjaxx, Ivan Gough, Diplo, GTA, Tommie Sunshine, D.O.D, Bassjackers. They play at plenty of events all around, and just to give you an example, they played at EDC México 2015 and the crowd went totally nuts!

Let’s talk about music. A while ago they released a track that made their fans go absolutely crazy, check it out:

And this one was played by Blasterjaxx, at Ultra’s Mainstage this year.

As a conclusion… there are too many talents to mention in just one article. That’s why We Rave You will try its best to keep you updated with the best upcoming talents around the globe. And if you like this editorial idea, please show your support and let us know!
