Big news today; Daan Romers a.k.a, Dannic has decided to launch his very own label. The Dutch house maestro burst into the EDM scene back in 2011 under Hardwell’s wing and he hasn’t looked back since. His portfolio has only been growing with over 30 singles, 3 Dannic Selection EPs and even joining the elites with a top 30 finish on the DJ Mag poll. It was only inevitable that Daan Romers would create his own imprint, Fonk Recordings is set to take on the dance music scene with some fresh underground talent.

Hardwell set up the platform for both Dannic and Dyro (who now has his own label: WOLV) to evolve and dish out their artistic talents and it looks like Daan plans to do the same.

“I really like to help younger producers with both their mastering, and offering more general production advice to allow them to finish their tracks. Throughout the years I’ve been working with a few talents and now I’m in the position to push them and give them a platform.”

Dannic means serious business when talking about supporting new talent. As part of Fonk Recordings’ launch, Daan will be taking to the streets of Amsterdam during ADE this week with a demo bus that’ll allow aspiring artists to showcase their work to the man himself! A statement from Fonk Recordings indicated that there could even be possibilites of a signing or two apart from the feedback producers are going to receive. Located alongside the city’s canals on Thursday September 15th between 1:30pm and 3pm, and Friday September 16th between 3pm and 4pm, the bus is outside of official ADE event spaces, meaning the opportunity is open to everyone!

The first wave of releases from Fonk Recordings is set to take place around the end of November, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop from here on out!
