40 scratch DJs perform at the same time
If you like scratching and you’re aware of what’s hot in this scene, you surely know crews like Invisbl Skratch Piklz or The X-Ecutioners, who are renowned for making live performances with more than one pair of decks at the same time.
This time, Red Bull organized something you have probably never seen before, with no less than 40 DJ’s scratching at the same time.
This incredible collaboration features legends like Jazzy Jeff, Z-Trip, Nu-Mark and QBert. As they were in Japan for the Red Bull Thre3style World Finals, they took part in an awesome challenge featuring some of the competition winners, like 2014 world champion Eskei83, World Champion 2013 Shintaro or recent world champion DJ Byte. Four teams of performers and participants were sent into a Tokyo studio to record a short set of 32 bars at a specified beats-per-minute.
Each crew performed their set in an epic challenge involving 40 turntables, six PA mixers, a lot of cable and some impressive scratching skills.
