Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike take home the trophy for Best Belgian Act

The past few weeks have been nothing but gratifying for the brothers of Belgium, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike. After recently winning DJ Mag’s Top 100 poll as the #1 Best DJ’s in the world, the duo also won the award for the Best Belgian Act during this year’s European Music Awards in Milan, Italy. Other nominated artists include house producer Lost Frequencies, drum and bass producer Netsky, electropop band Oscar and the Wolf, and soul musician Selah Suh. The two EDM heavyweights have claimed the throne once again after winning the very same award last year.

The Thivaios brothers were also nominated for the Best European Act but Italian singer-songwriter Marco Mengoni takes the trophy for that award. Regardless, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike both add another plaque to their much-improved track record by taking home this year’s Best Belgian Act award. The duo might even three-peat if they win the award once more during next year’s EMA’s, which is confirmed to take place in Rotterdam. With this much success that they have garnered over the past few years, expect the Tomorrowland ambassadors to have a bigger year and smash the house even harder in 2016 especially as the #1 DJ’s in the world.
