Listen to the stunning Armin van Buuren and Deadmau5 collab that never got released

Back in 2012, EDM fans from all over the world stood and watched as one of the greatest collaborations of the century was about to unfold. Deadmau5 took to twitter to openly invite none other than trance king, Armin Van Buuren, to do a collaboration for the masses.

This sent the EDM community into an absolute uproar. Two of the most iconic sounds in the game, joining forces for what would have likely been one of the greatest anthems of all time. Unfortunately for us, this all came crashing down about a year later, when Deadmau5 announced that he became bored of the collaboration during a live stream in his online chatroom “Suckscription”.  A fan that was in the chat at the time, took to reddit to confirm:

What really happened is still a mystery, however, in 2014, there was an altercation between the two producers when Deadmau5 took to twitter and bashed on Armin’s ASOT, claiming:

Armin followed up the insult, claiming  that Joel “backed out” of something, presumably the collaboration, and invited him to host ASOT to show us all what trance is really about.

At the end of the day, we’re just upset the collaboration never took place. Armin premiered what was already created in an episode of ASOT that has luckily circulated the internet since. Listen to the would-be masterpiece below, and let us know what you think:
