Seven Lions – Cusp
Coming off of an absolutely mind altering set at TomorrowWorld last weekend, Seven Lions is consistently proving why he is one of the greatest in the game right now. In recent interviews, Seven Lions has stated that his biggest influence in his music is metal, and that trance is very similar in its intensity and melodic nature. “Not like dark, like evil dark, but just melancholic, really pretty dark songs” – he states in an interview with Thump.
This holds true with his latest release on Armin Van Buuren’s Who’s Afraid of 138 label. Meaning, 138 BPM, pure, classic trance greatness. “I’ve been playing this in all my sets for almost a year now and I am so stoked to finally put this out :)”, he says on Facebook. The track, Cusp, is a genuine trance face bender. Blending thumping classic trance kicks, with Seven Lion’s signature melodic sound – this one is sure to get you banging your head and jumping on your feet.
