Listen to Steve Angello & Eric Prydz’s forgotten Collaboration

Steve Angello & Eric Prydz are two names often spoke about but rarely found alongside each other in a track title, with “Woz Not Woz” being an exception. That is until we stumbled across this beauty again. Ripped from Eric Prydz legendary, but intermittent, EPIC Radio Show’s the track, nearly 15 years old, still carries its addictive magic today.

“Bedtime Stories” brings with it a nostalgic feel, while simultaneously having a refreshing effect on the ears. With funky basslines, and a near Daft-Punk-like chordal sound the song really does put a smile on your face. Composed of fading sirens, deep synths and an active bass guitar, the kick-drum carries you on a dynamic progressive house journey. The soaring melodic highs and deep groovy atmosphere remove you from reality and into a lulled bliss of good music and far-away thoughts. Easily one of the most timeless tracks we’ve heard in a while, we have a strong hunch it will be added to numerous playlists around the world in the near-future. Which begs the question – how on earth did it fall of the radar in the first place?

The reemergence of the track into our lives also highlights the disappointing fact that Steve Angello & Eric Prydz, childhood friends, haven’t joined forces for a collaboration of any sort in a number of years. Sadly “Bedtime Stories” never got past the ‘demo’ stage, but you get the feeling not much would need to be changed for it to reinstate itself into the progressive house limelight. And that is something we are more than happy to happen…
