Ultra Worldwide makes history in Asia
Ultra: one of the most well reputed and unforgettable festivals across the world, just closed this year with a massive eight-nation tour. Multiplying its attraction eight-fold, the festival has moved from Miami only, to hosting debut editions in Macau, Singapore, Bali and the Philippines, as well as returning to Korea, Thailand, Japan and Taiwan.
Breaking records and making history in Japan, Ultra sold out for the second year running, only to become the largest electronic music festival in Japanese history. Approximately 90,000 fans gathered at the event based in buzzing city of Tokyo. In addition to its dazzling production, Ultra is also known of its star studded lineup. This year, the eight countries saw the likes of Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, David Guetta, Nicky Romero, Skrillex and DJ Snake to name only a few. On its third weekend, Asia also saw the inauguration of Ultra’s ‘Resistance’ stage, where all time legends such as John Digweed, Sasha, Nic Fanciulli and Gorgon City rocked the throngs of exhilarated ravers.
