1. Daniel Kandi – Venice beach [2010]

An absolutely wonderful trance classic from Danish trance producer Daniel Kandi. ‘Venice Beach’ was released on Anjunabeats in 2010, and soon became a trance anthem to fans around the world.

2. Airbase – Medusa [1997]

Most fans of the trance genre have sometime in the past heard the name ‘Airbase’,  the artist name belongs to Swedish trance producer Jezper Söderlund who has released countless of classics throughout the years, while one of the most famous Airbase song being the stunning tune ‘Medusa’. It was first premiered by Tiesto in 2007, and released the same year on Intuition (Armada).

3. Push – The Legacy [2001]

Mike Dierickx… throughout the years he has gone by many names while the most famous being: M.I.K.E, Plastic Boy and Push. In 2001 the legendary Belgian producer released a track under the name Push, the track was titled ‘The Legacy’, it quickly became a trance classic and topped charts all over Europe. A truly remarkable piece of art!

4. Binary Finary – 1998 [1998/99]

A real throwback right here! Binary Finary, a British trance group who are best known for their track called ‘1998’ which was released on Positiva Records. The song was remixed countless of times by legends such as Paul Van Dyk, and Ferry Corsten & Tiesto under their duo name ‘Gouryella’. Though the original was released in 1998, the remixes were titled after the year they were remixed and ‘1999’ was in fact the last song to be played on BBC Radio One of the 20th Century, it started playing it 23:57 on new year and faded out into the 21st Century just past midnight. This is definitely a historical trance track to note down!

5. iiO – Rapture (Riva Remix) [2001]

Most modern dance music fans are familiar with the Avicii and Armin Van Buuren remix of ‘Nadia Ali(iio) – Rapture’, but the fact is that the majority have never even heard the original by iiO, or yet the beautiful trance remix by the legendary duo Riva (who currently go under the name Chocolate Puma). The remix features an absolutely stunning flow throughout the whole song and really shows the amount of work put into the creation of the track. ‘iiO – Rapture (Riva Remix) ‘was released in 2001 on Made Records. A lovely classic!
