Adele’s “Hello” receives a masterful Tropical remix by Andry B & JJ
Adele and tropical house tend not to combine. It’s a tough ask to maintain her delicately crafted versions, with the flare that tropical house offers. But it seems Andry B & JJ may have just achieved it.
The Italian duo hailing from Rome are no strangers to taking on big names. With work featuring the likes of Calvin AHrris, David Guetta, R3hab, Deorro, Swedish House Mafia and Showtek their fearless approach to challenging edits and remixes is one that garners a fair amount of respect to say the least.
The calming intro smoothly leads into the already-iconic opening verse of Adele’s original. With Andry B & JJ opting for few layers that sit calmly in the background, the vocals aren’t undermined or distorted, capturing the ‘soul’ of the track. With piano chords being joined by a Ten-Walls-esque sound and an array of building layers, the fading in of the violin is elegantly done.
The controlled nature of the song produces a curated atmosphere, with intelligent use of FX along with padded drums across the bridge reflecting this. Adele’s harmonies synchronize effortlessly with the violin and upbeat rhythm, allowing the ending to gently wind down the tropical house remix few thought could be pulled off.
With already a host of originals under their belt, their latest remix sit’s in their portfolio as one of their best to date.
