Oliver Heldens and Throttle Unite For “I’ve Been Waiting”

Oliver Heldens and Throttle are two of the scene’s most distinctive and brightest starlets. Both are headliners of the under 25 club of DJ/Producer’s, and with Helden’s growing his alias’ portfolio and the young Australian being named one of Beatport’s emerging artists of the year, 2016 looks set to continue their upward trend.

With Oliver Heldens recently coming off the back of releasing “Wombass” , and his alias, HI-LO‘s “Ooh La La”, and Throttle receiving critical acclaim for his remix of Earth, Wind and Fire’s iconic “September”, the combination of the talents and tastes was also set to deliver exciting results.

Another one to add to the future house collection, “I’ve Been Waiting” carries with it a more old school vibe, and groovy atmosphere than many other of the pairs material. Instrument heavy, the plucky bass guitars leads towards a melodic set of piano chords that have become a staple to a Heldens melodic progression. Infused with the edgier, dirty disco mood Throttle also brings, the bridge builds into a busy, partially-distorted development, adding to the shuffle-incentivising progression. Topped with layered female vocals, the harmonic lyrics add the finishing touches to another stellar production buy the flying Dutchman and rising Aussie.
