Never ones to shy away from bigger and bolder things, We Rave You is proud to bring you our 9th episode of our podcast. And this time is comes in a rather special package.

Esteemed British dance music icon Tom Staar has come off an epic 2015 for himself and his ‘Groove Cartel’. Collaborating with Knife Party and Kryder, remixing the likes of Axwell /\ Ingrosso, featuring for Axtone Records and managing his own label, Staar Traxx, it’s fair to say Tom Staar’s presence within the scene has ascended to significant prominence.

Visualizing the second ‘We Rave You Sessions’ was always a tough task. However, with Tom Staar at the helm of the sell-out event in Tel Aviv last week, it quickly came to fruition and fortune. Delivering 10 unreleased tracks within his set, We Rave You’s 9th Episode is the most exclusive yet. Taken from his set in Israel, Tom Star curates a deep, hard and groovy podcast, packed with some of the years most iconic and distinctive sounds and tracks. Something only an individual at the top of the game can pull off in such fine form.

Opening with one of the most memorable introduction to a house track this year, “De Puta Madre”, Staar infuses the podcast with groove from the outset. Followed by a New_ID remix, the inclusion of Steve Angello’s “Remember” reflects the status the British DJ/Producer has within the scene. Inevitably a fan-favourite, Staar then produces not 1, but 2 ID’s alongside David Tort’s “Lost In Acid”. Leaving us yet more songs we’re in need of knowing more about, the fading in of “Apache” signifies the ending of the first half of the set.

With rhythm and beat equally as important as flare, Tom Staar brings an atmosphere rarely touched throughout We Rave You Podcasts – one of genuine club mood. Added to by Eddie Thorniek’s “All Over The World”, the groove-infusion continues long into the second half with the likes of Kryder, Knife Party, Marco V, another ID, and a major dose of the man himself making up the majority of the final 30 minutes track listing. It’s a ptiy there’s only 1 hour in all honesty…

Thunderous drums, roaring synths and legendary vocals characterize Tom Staar’s curation of the 9th Episode of our podcast. Taken live from his set at We Rave You Sessions in Tel Aviv, it’s fair to say we can’t wait for what the 10th episode and 3rd Session will bring in the near future!
