Classic 20 Year old Daft Punk remix finally getting a re-release
It’s extremely rare that we get the chance to talk about new Daft Punk music, but whenever we do get the chance it’s always an absolute pleasure and today is no different. It’s been nearly 3 years since we last got the chance to listen to new Daft music, but today we’ve all been treated to a re-release of an old remix from way before the two French geniuses were robots. This 1996 remix of I:Cube’s “Disco Cubizm” can be heard in the duos enigmatic Essential Mix debut and the re issue gives us a higher quality version for fans to feast on to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Versatile Records.
This remix really shows off the classic Daft Punk house sound, and is a lesson for many fans of modern day dance music who might not know a lot about the roots of house music.
