Ferry Corsten – Hello World EP3

Fantastic, fabulous, Ferry. Ferry Corsten has been making quite the noise from his production desk in 2015 but there wasn’t much doubt about it given his legacy, his sound catalogue and the fact that he brought back every Trance addicts beloved Gouryella moniker. Aside from the tangled set of aliases, the Dutch Trance master focused on his own productions with the release of the 3 series Hello World EPs.

The last of the 3 EPs sees light at the end of the year as the other EP1 and EP2 were released in February and July respectively. The EP features vocalists Ethan Thompson & Temperheart working with Ferry on two separate tracks and the other two on which the Dutchman is the sole producer thus bringing the count for the EP to a total of 4.

The first of the tracks ‘Follow You‘ showcases Ferry working with vocals samples and an uplifting melody. Delivering with a completely modern Trance sound, Follow You is an apt start for the 4 track EP. The second track ‘Hearts Beating Faster‘ featuring Ethan Thompson on the vocals, starts with a slightly sharper sound and gives Ferry a chance to show his production versatility. More electronic, more funky, more innovative is Ferry’s mantra on ‘Hearts Beating Faster‘, and the execution is perfect.

On the third track ‘Not Alone‘, Ferry goes down the darker road with a more eerie sound, featuring fitting vocals from Temperheart. A completely different road yet again, infectious beat-work with the vocals and a enchanting synth work from the ever favorite producer. The last and possibly the most energizing track on the EP, ending the year long Hello World EP series, is ‘Voema‘. Harder and more melodic than most from the EP, the track is a perfect ending to the EP series with a nostalgic feel in its entirety thus reminding us what a year it has been for Ferry, for Flashover Recordings and for all of us!
