Be it the way that 2015 has panned out for Steve Angello as an individual personality, artist and record label owner or the way that 2016 has been set up so perfectly with the release of ‘Wild Youth‘ 2nd chapter, there is little that doesn’t have Steve Angello participating. Even with so much to do, the Swedish guru never forgets his job as a taste-maker for his fans and listeners across the musical spectrum. He’s the latest to join as Mixmag‘s ‘Selects’ curator.

The playlist kicks off with Daft Punk’s 2007 hit ‘Alive‘. Shifting to something more classier, Angello adds Chemical Brothers’ 2002 song ‘Star Guitar‘ and rewinding all the way back to 1992 for Moby’s revered track ‘Go‘. Staying in the 90’s, we get a hit from Aphex Twin’s ‘Windowlicker’ album from 1999. Following them is Etienne de Crecy & Alex Gopher house hit ‘Overnet’ from 2004. Decorating the playlist further with the likes of The Prodigy, his fellow Swedish artist duo Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer’s The Knife’s ‘Silent Shout‘, Sébastien Tellier’s ‘L’Amour Et La Violence’ from his Sexuality album from 2008. Warm Shadow by Fink and M83’s ‘In Church’ head us towards the end as a personal favorite does the honor of ending the playlist – Tame Impala’s ‘Eventually‘ from their ‘Currents‘ album.
