He’s gone by the names Halcyon441, Dred and Karma, Testpilot and worked with Steve Duda as BSOD, but everyone in the world of electronic music knows him as deadmau5. From breaking onto the scene in 2007 with Faxing Berlin, which is one of the best electronic songs of all time, he has only risen to become one of the most skilled producers ever.

Today Joel Zimmerman turns 35 years old, and to mark the occasion we’ve selected 15 of the best tracks from his monstrous catalogue of released and unreleased tunes which must span well over 500 songs. While the mau5 is one of the more controversial figures in electronic music, at the end of the day we’ll always love him for his music. Happy birthday Joel, and we hope you’ll continue throwing down some fantastic music in the future, whether it’s under the name deadmau5 or not.
