Dada Life – Tic Tic Tic (feat. Lzzy Hale)

Once looked at as Electronic Dance Music’s most interesting act, the curiosity about Dada Life‘s ways never ceases to amaze the fan following and the industry alike. Comprising of Swedes Olle Corneer and Stefan Engblom, the Dada Life duo have been quite silent on the output front for the past months, with their last release coming in 2015 in the shape of ‘One Last Night On Earth‘ – released last August. But to drown all that news, the duo return with ‘Tic Tic Tic’ as they combine forces with American singer/songwriter Lzzy Hale, who is also the lead vocalist rhythm guitarist of the American hard rock band Halestorm, founded by her in 1997.

The track kicks off with hard guitar riffs accompanied by phasing vocals only to be turned into a club smasher in typical Dada Life style with the drop which will, as PopMatters defines, ‘turn the dancefloor into a massive pogo-ing maelstrom of raised arms and blissed out faces‘. True to their sound, the duo enmesh seamlessly their musical qualities with the mainstream vocals of the “I Am The Fire” hit-make aiming to chart high like their past singles. What happens on the charts is hard to predict but PopMatters gets the prediction for the dance floors spot on.
