Eric Prydz debuts stunning EP/IC 4.0 shows

Home Uncategorized Eric Prydz debuts stunning EP/IC 4.0 shows

Fresh off the back of his recent debut artist album, “Opus” Swedish progressive house king Eric Prydz has just embarked on the US leg of his EP/IC 4.0 concert tour. EP/IC is a concept that Prydz has been running for a number of years now and showcases the latest technology to present an audio-video experience like no other. It’s an interesting concept and is also allows the Pryda label boss to play spontaneous shows, as none of the sets are pre-prepared.

Massive holograms are a big part of the EP/IC shows, and the fourth iteration in the series is no different which the videos linked below will show off. Prydz is presented behind a monstrous cube like structure, with various different shapes and patterns floating within this mega structure and of course the signature prydz lasers also make an appearance, all in sync with the music.

The tracklist of the NYC show, which sadly we weren’t in attendance at featured a mix of the tracks from “Opus” as well as tunes from some of Eric’s various different aliases such as the pummelling techno he puts out under Cirez D or the more melodic offerings of Pryda. In typical prydz fashion there were as always a number of IDs and unknown records which is what we’ve come to expect from the Swede.

As always, Prydz continues to push the boundaries of electronic music, in both a musical aspect and a live aspect, he really is one of the greatest artists of our generation. If you’re going to the shows you might not want to spoil the experience, but otherwise enjoy the videos below.
