The 58th Annual Grammy Awards airs this February 15th and there’s some big news in it for dance music fans as we’re going to be witnessing a collaborative performance between Skrillex & Diplo’s Jack Ü and Justin Bieber.
Justin, Diplo, and Skrillex are nominated for the Best Dance Recording Grammy for “Where Are Ü Now“, whilst Diplo is nominated for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical, and Jack Ü are nominated for Best Dance/Electronic Album for their self-titled LP. The trio will have many more releases to come if they manage to beat out their competition; the likes of Galantis, Above & Beyond and The Chemical Brothers.
Also performing are artists Lady Gaga, Adele, The Weeknd, Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna’s recently confirmed her spot on stage via a short tweet as well.
Expect an array of performances with electronic touches this year, as the music industry seems to adopting more and more of dance music culture. We can expect Jack Ü & Bieber to perform more than just “Where Are Ü Now“; perhaps a new single in the works?
Make sure you tune in to CBS next Monday to catch all the action!
